Mount Prospect Ice Arena (MPIA) is a state-of-the-art sports facility designed for hosting major hockey tournaments and special events. MPIA offers a variety of public and private programs on and off the ice. It is home to the Tier 1 Reapers Hockey Association as well as 34 independent sports teams.
The 110,000 square foot arena offers three regulation NHL sheets of ice and parking for approximately 600 guests. The facility provides spectator seating for 450 fans at each rink and includes 22 team locker rooms, a full-service pro shop (Jerry’s Hockey), and an academic lounge. Panoramic views of the rinks are provided in temperature-controlled indoor spaces at Big Fish’s Icehouse onsite restaurant and lounge.
MPIA offers spectator platforms and rinks conducive to ADA accessible activities and sled hockey.

Athletic Fields

Nicholas Field is the centerpiece of Nicholas Sportsplex offering two outdoor areas that encompass more than 59,000 square feet of specialized synthetic turf. The fields are available for group and individual training, as well as rental space.
Fields are striped for football/soccer (80x50 yards) and baseball/softball (50x50 yards). Fields are also used for additional athletic programs including lacrosse and dance fitness, as well as other outdoor events.
Patrons and spectators have access to restrooms and concessions at the Ice Arena.

The Health Performance Institute (HPI) is division of the Illinois Bone and Joint Institute and operates its Mount Prospect location within the Nicholas Sportsplex.
HPI specializes in sports performance, personal training, and post-therapy exercise. HPI creates a bridge between medicine and optimal fitness for all of its clients. They achieve this by helping to reduce injury and improve the performance and quality of life of clients with certified professional trainers and science-based training programs.

BIG FISH’S ICEHOUSE
Enjoy authentic wood-fired, brick oven pizza from Big Fish’s Icehouse, located on the second level of the Ice Arena at Nicholas Sportsplex.
Adult beverages are served from the main restaurant as well as from Big Fish Lounge in the South Rink.

JERRY’S HOCKEY
Jerry’s Hockey is the premier hockey pro shop for Chicagoland’s suburbs. It is conveniently located within the Ice Arena outside of the North Rink.
Jerry’s is stocked with the latest and greatest hockey gear to fit players from head to toe. In addition, skate sharpening is also available.
